Blå Station at ORGATEC 2026: DecoFunc, functional decoration for the wall, Hall 10.2

Blå Station is at ORGATEC 2026 in Cologne, Hall 10.2, Stand Q070, from 27 to 30 October. The Swedish furniture brand, founded in 1986 and known for its sculptural seating and strong focus on sustainability, brings Frankfurter and SOMA to the fair, and its acoustic wall system DecoFunc is one of the most interesting pieces in its range.

DecoFunc: functional decoration for the wall

DecoFunc, designed by Osko + Deichmann in 2025, explores a flexible, non-permanent pattern that goes hand in hand with function. Blå Station calls itself functionalist, and DecoFunc brings function and decoration together in one open system:

• a steel frame that can be turned in four directions, so the pattern changes with every combination
• solid wooden knobs
• non-permanent add-ons in hot-moulded recycled polyester form felt, with flat form felt inserts to follow
• two components: the A45 Frame and the A45 Sound Absorber

It works with and without the absorbing fillers, so the same wall can be more decorative or more acoustic, depending on the room.

Plan your own wall

Blå Station offers a DecoFunc Wall Planner: enter the wall size, place the frames, add sound absorbers and choose materials, colours and fabrics. The planner lists all components and prints a drawing for assembly.

Part of the Extended Acoustic Family

DecoFunc belongs to Blå Station's acoustic panel family, together with A40 Ginkgo, A41 Drip, A42 Gaia and A44 Arc.
