What is good acoustics based on?

Noise is omnipresent, yet for a long time it played only a minor role in architectural discourse. With “Ēchos”, Anna Sudy, Leonie Felger, and Anna Antoni have developed a landscape of seating objects that takes its orientation from the column as an organizing element and mediates between body, space, and sound. The furniture, designed to absorb low frequencies, combines acoustic effects with spatial design and demonstrates how acoustics can naturally become an integral part of architecture and our experience of space.
